Our work is not about me or you, but it is about all of us. It is about our hearts. We, as human beings are powerful beyond measures. The power I am talking about are our feelings. I do not believe that human feelings are weaknesses – it’s in fact where our power lies.
Rather than express, transform and create something very special and beautiful out of ourselves, we let the power within ourselves to die. We were born to give, but because of our unawareness, we have removed ourselves from our very essence, too far from our power, from our feelings, from our energy.
Today we don’t even know who we are. We are simply afraid and we are stuck in being afraid. We are actually afraid of being afraid. We are afraid of feelings, of sadness, of pain. We are afraid of anger. We are afraid of happiness and we are afraid of loving and being loved. We have gone far enough to even become victims of the system. To be a victim means to feel sorry for myself as well as to be powerless. To sing my song about truth, I need to be in control and aware of my power.
Once we get to know and understand our power, we can start to work with it as a vital and dynamic part of our life and our performance.
We all have everything we need. Sometimes it is hard to believe. But there is no more time to wait. We need to become active and start to come out of ourselves and use all we have been given. To become humble and grateful for what we were given. Our work is a war, our voice a weapon. We do not fight with guns, we fight with our music through our songs which come from our deep suffering, deeper that where our history is. We come from our darkness into the light. The fight means the hardest battle which any human being can fight, and never stop fighting.
There is pain in deep songs. The gypsies call it a black pain and it goes way deeper than any personal pain: it undoubtedly opens the psyche to the universality of suffering and to the need to find a language to get beyond the limitation of the personal. It is a song drawn into itself and terrible in the dark. Rather than separating the feeling and acting, we will use the fuel of our emotional histories to give movement and life to our song.
We will not support the victim in you. The intention of our work is clear: we are here to help you to find your will and guide you along the journey and the expression of your soul through the disciplines of the Voice.
