Ida Kelarová succumbed to temptation and opened a genuinely gypsy oracle at the castle. After all, the gypsy oracles are sought-after and recognized for veracity of their prophecies. One of the most famous oracles in Bohemia, Klára Hynková from Prague, came here. As she told us, a number of celebrities from the non-gypsy world comes to her for advice. I dreaded the fortune telling so I asked Klára not for a prophecy of my future but for an interview.
When did you find out you have the gift of prophecy-making, of fortune telling?
When I was 25, I realized I could help to people and could affect their psyche. After that, the people were relaxed and happier. I also found out that I’m able to help them. For example, I helped to one of my friends to marry a man. She didn’t have the luck before and today, she is married, has two children and a good gypsy husband. I foretell from matrimony and tarot cards that are magical cards meant mainly for the things of love.
What kind of information want people know? What troubles them?
They are troubled by economic situation, health, and love. It is understandable because everybody wants to know whether they marry well or whether they’ll be healthy. I help when I can. This is my job.
It is important that you have a gypsy rosary. How is it different from a non-gypsy one?
If someone has preternatural abilities like me, he is exposed to a number of negative forces that emit from people he meets. And thanks to this rosary, the negative energy disappears – the rosary wards it off. Owing to the rosary, no negative force from the superior places can affect me. My rosary protects me. At the first sight, it’s no different from another rosaries. The difference is that a person with abilities like me, a gypsy oracle, possesses it.
After who do you have these abilities?
After my great-grandma.
Where can the clients find you?
In Praha 3 – Žižkov. Everybody knows me there.
Did you like the festival?
It was superb! It gives me so much. The people here are happy and full of positive energy and love. You cannot come across something like that in such a crowd of people.

Ida Kelarová finally achieved something that politicians and diplomats couldn’t. She broke through the barriers and built a bridge between the Gypsies and non-Gypsies. The sixty of her students of the “school of voice” leave with a gypsy song in their hearts and souls. If they now listen to gypsy songs, it will remind them of the fantastic atmosphere and love without a distinction of color, nationality, and faith among all the people. All of them left happy. So as I did…
